Debt Advisory Line make a difference to thousands of lives every day of the year helping people with debt problems. As an organisation our management and staff come together at various times to help those most in need in our society and we have chosen two particular beneficiaries for our fundraising activities:

Sue Ryder Care supports people with specialist palliative, end of life and long-term neurological care needs. Each year they provide 4 million hours of care to people living with cancer, multiple sclerosis, Huntington's disease, Parkinson's disease, motor neurone disease, stroke and brain injury. They make over 1.4 million home visits every year, offer over 100,000 days of long-term residential care and have some 6,000+ volunteers. 

LOCAL - Harley Slack Appeal
An appeal was launched in June 2009 to help a Stockport infant who has lost all four limbs to meningitis. Harley Slack was left fighting for life and doctors thought he had died three times after contracting the killer disease. He now needs hundreds of thousands of pounds to pay for new limbs as he grows and for specialist care.

Samantha and Adam, Harley's parents, launched the appeal for £100,000 to buy Harley from Stockport, the best prosthetic legs and arms. They also want to adapt their home and to take some time off work to be with him. Samantha said: "We have been amazed by the public response, it is incredible. We are so touched by the people who have donated hundreds of pounds and those who have sent a few pounds, we are so grateful."
