Citizens Advice Bureau and debt advice
"The Citizen Debt Advice Bureau deals with 9,389 new debt problems every working day. This figure is the equivalent to 1 person needing debt mangement help every minute of the working day."
Source: Credit Action, January 2011.
Are you struggling with debt problems? Are you unsure of which is the best course of action for you to take now? If so, you are certainly not alone and hopefully the information on our web site is of use to you in making the right decision. Of course, you may well feel that even with all the advice and the different options you have been presented with on this site you still need to talk to someone who is completely independent who can perhaps offer a helping hand. If that is the case we would suggest you contact your local Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) and see just what support and advice they can offer you.
The Citizens Advice Bureau has over 20,000 trained advisors working for them around the UK and they deal with issues surrounding unsecured personal debt on a daily basis. You might even want to start your research now online by visiting their financial help pages by following this link. They also have an entire section on their site that lays out many of the options available to people for dealing with debt.
Obviously, if you require more information about the various options that might be available to help you eliminate your debts then most Citizens Advice Bureau offices will have fact sheets and leaflets that you can pick up if you visit them in person. Please note that Citizens Advice Bureau is not a single national organisation with common standards of advice. Each office is different and develops according to the resources it has (some get local authority support, some don't, etc). They are a great source of general, free face-to-face debt advice in the UK but do please check that the advisor you are dealing with has debt experience.
Having visited the Citizens Advice Bureau web site or perhaps having visited one of their offices in person don't forget to come back to the Debt Advisory line web site or to call us on 0800 093 5322 and get professional debt advice from us along with a range a solutions that are best suited to helping you eliminate your debts and which will get you back on track financially in the shortest possible time.
With thousands of satisfied customers over the last few years and outstanding debt solutions it is little wonder that Debt Advisory Line have been awarded the Debt Management Provider of the Year award in both 2008 and 2009.
